How Cake is Served
How the wedding cake is served will influence the amount of wedding cake ordered. If the wedding cake is not the main dessert but rather part of a larger dessert table, it will not be necessary to buy as large a cake. Many guests will choose other selections for dessert.
If you plan to have both a dessert table and a wedding cake, use the main cake for the cake cutting ceremony and then have a small amount on the dessert table. Do not buy as much cake as there are guests.
